In a culture of increasing isolation, ‘connection’ is a strong force against patriarchy, heteronormative structures & capitalist thinking. But what do you do if the connection breaks? The videos run without sound on the laptops & are recorded Skype calls. They show moments of encounter between the two artists. What separates them is their geographical distance. Alizé Rose-May Monod was in residence in Cairo (Egypt) in 2019 and Anna Marcus was in Switzerland.
