We are here.
This performance aims to challenge the treatment of the LGBTQ community in Iran. As the Iranian government continues to deny, pathologize, and systematically oppress them. The performance took place on the 18th of June 2021 in front of the Iranian Embassy in Paris where the artist started painting the Iranian flag with rainbow colors. Stopped and penalized by the police, the artist continued the performance in the city center to express solidarity with the LGBT community in Iran.
