Un-mothering questions the patriarchal expectations of women through exploration of family history, female lineage, and the mother-child relationship. Focused on the idea of separation, the artist uses found family archives to reimagine a family history aimed at healing. The title of each piece is the repeated phrase marked on it that looks into memory and female alliance.
